We build static sites directly in HTML and CSS, without a framework. The site you are reading was built this way: not one external script loads, not one cookie is set.

No cookies, so no consent banner

This site sets no cookies, embeds no third-party analytics and makes no outbound requests. The practical result is that no cookie consent dialog is needed to greet visitors. If measurement is genuinely required we discuss cookie-free options, but the default is to collect nothing.

No framework, no dependencies

The site is not built on a content management system or a JavaScript framework. That means no plugins to update, no licences to renew and no version chain that breaks six months later. What reaches the browser is HTML, CSS and, where needed, a few kilobytes of JavaScript.

Speed is not a plugin

Page speed comes from keeping the number and size of files small, not from a plugin added afterwards. This site's home page loads at around 15 KB compressed, including CSS and JavaScript, and makes no external requests. Page speed is one of Google's ranking signals; not decisive on its own, but it matters when other things are equal.

Process and timing

A single-screen launch site usually takes two weeks. Multi-page company sites depend on the copy being ready; if the writing runs long, so does the schedule. Once scope is settled we put the dates in writing.

Common questions

Can I update the content myself?

We handle text and image updates; small changes usually go live the same day. If we are building a site with frequent content entry, we agree a suitable arrangement at the start.

Do you not use WordPress?

No. A static site carries far less maintenance: no plugins to update, no security holes to close, no licences to renew. On projects that genuinely need frequent content entry we discuss the trade-off.

How is hosting decided?

A static site can be hosted almost anywhere. If you have a preference for the domain and hosting we set it up accordingly; if not, we suggest one. These details are settled in writing at the start.
